Jeremy Olander welcomes new artist to his Vivrant imprint.
Eekkoo, the pride of Montreal and soon far beyond, has had a formidable year. With remixes for Jeremy Olander on Suara, Mark Jackus and Marcus Sur on Noir Music, plus a huge original on aforementioned Spanish power house’s compilation ‘Kitties On Trance’ and a celebrated collaboration project with Indie Electronica phenom Sailor & I, this truly rare talent has set the scene for a huge breakthrough many believe is overdue.
One that has taken notice of the Canadian’s abilities is Jeremy Olander. He welcomes Eekkoo to his Vivrant family with the incredible three-track ‘Nightingale’ EP, making him the first artist to have an original outing on the highly touted label besides Olander himself.
Vowing to make Vivrant a home for new and established acts with a sound that finds itself in the crossroads between techno and early 2000s progressive, Olander makes good on that promise by forming what feels like a natural pairing with Eekkoo, who’s ready to make a dent on dancefloors and charts across the globe.
