Valique has been doing his stuff for decades now, with a lasting row of works various in styles, but undeniable in quality. Professional DJ, multi-instrumentalist, score composer and songwriter, producer and remixer with 'Music for Potatoe Countries» 2006 on Vehicle, two vinyl singles and 'R.A.W' album for Freestyle Records back in 2007, soul-filled album for INFRACom! in 2010, numerous remixes and edits (e.g. his recent 'V-Shaped' remix collection on Timewarp) and many more. Valique knows well where he wants his musicians, vocalists and his own performances and arrangements to get his ideas to, be it a disco stomper, broken-beat instrumental track, modern soul song or deep- house anthem. He is well centered about the musicality and richness of sound, but keeping it on the funky side of the street. With 'Family' the story is deep and personal, almost autobiographical, it took him several years to bring it to the light of the day, with many sessions and versions rejected, takes and dialogues, lyrical moments. The artwork by Vitaly Burikin is also a part of big conceptual art series, and it reflects well the feeling created by the song.
