Apollo presents a brand new EP from Sinoptik Music. Hailing from the eastern climes of Tbilisi, Georgia and previously releasing on John Beltrans Dado label he now makes the move to the label that released some of John Beltrans classic 90s albums.
Heavy density synth chords, lashings of space echo and relentless grooves drive his music, with a heavy nod to classic dub techno and the soul inflected grooves of Jazzanova.
The EP kicks off with Lights In Delay a rich, dubwise piece laden with sustained pads, swollen filter sweeps and submerged rhythms, with 'Messages From Jupiter is a 10 minute epic built around chugging bass propulsion with scything ride cymbals and spaced out chords. Voices In My Head ends the EP in a more reflective mood - distracted daydream like melodies nag, while bass pulses and synth oscillations flutter gently around the dulcet jazz drums.
