Next up on Onefold Records we bring you high octane release ‘Gonna Get Down’, from formidable production duo K & K featuring Emma Black. Having started their careers in the industry behind the decks, it comes as no surprise that producers Robin K and Danny K know what makes a dance floor tick, something this cut achieves threefold.

The pair’s original mix storms in with a confident, thumping beat, closely followed by splices of head strong vocal and a tension-building, spine-tingling synth. The track unfolds with pumping breakdowns and more of Black’s distinctive, powerhouse twang, working together to give us an exciting, high-powered dance floor contender.

Giving us two reworks on the EP, the duo first take up the task themselves with their ‘909 Re Dub’ remix. This beat-focused interpretation strips out the bulk of the vocal and adds some carnival inspired beats to create a whirlwind of sound just asking to be danced to.

Tempo Elektrik rounds things off with his simplified, playful take on the dance floor jam. Softening the bass line, he uses chiselled, bouncy beats and lively synths to bring out the full potential in Black’s impressive vocals.

An uplifting, well crafted offering from the London duo.
