Halifax Chicago Detroit EP

Andrew Duke, Keter Darker

Fort Street Records
FSR0003 | 2016-08-19
The third release on Fort Street Records is secured by none other than underground icon; Andrew Duke! His highly respected, weekly syndicated mixshow has been a staple of heads since 1987, and Andrew has a history of noteworthy releases dating back to 1991 on labels such as; Matrix, Nice & Tasty, Low Noise Productions, and Batti Batti, just to name a few.
His current contribution to Fort Street; Halifax Chicago Detroit EP showcases his years of production skill along with his golden ear by delivering a three tracker oozing with melodic grooves, deep and dark soul, with a dash of afro-tribalism. Just as the title would suggest, the influence of Detroit and Chicago is strong, with two of the three tracks featuring Chicago spoken word artist Keter Darker who has been called this generation's Gil Scott-Heron.
Sure to satisfy the taste of even the most discerning of selectors, this EP definitely is an invitation to dance!
