Label bosses Alfa Romero open the circus show themselves, lifting the curtains by walking the tightrope between underground house and techno with the highly impressive Fake Lovers. The bottom end bristles away with all the tension and drama of a death-defying circus act. The grumbling bassline is deep and intense, just as the beats are purposeful and weighty. As the track evolves, the atmosphere becomes more stripped back as delicious vocals waft over the top and combine with skittering synths almost as a warning of the impending house workout that is about to spill over into dancefloor frenzy.

Sniliocs remix has a more upfront energy, immediately tapping into the drama of the original and running away with a clubbier atmosphere. The Hungarian producer works up a sumptuous groove that picks up all that cross its path in a hurricane of swirling sonics and club textures.
