I don’t know about you but I can’t wait for the summer. I’ve got the fever real bad too. I’m at that stage when any time I hear a big summery monster tune my mind automatically starts wandering to thoughts of beach bars and open air clubs. The kind of places that even though the vodka tonics cost more than the flight to be there, I’ll still be happy as a pig in shit when I am.

And all that means its time for me to pull together a bunch of tunes that mean Ibiza to me. We have a bunch of recent biggies from my Glasgow Underground label including Annie Mac fave like Camelphat’s “The Quad”, Illyus & Barrientos’ “Strings” and my own “What You Want”. As well as these there are some big club weapons from the likes of Kaiserdisco, J Paul Getto, Spencer K, Raffa FL, Dennis Cruz, Paride Saraceni & Mike Vale. As well as these, I have 10 brand new tracks made just for this release.

First up is a track from me and producer/masterer/engineer extraordinaire Andy MacDougall. You might recognise his name from the huge the Dennis Cruz mix of his "Shaman" track but there are a gazillion records he has mastered for the likes of Toolroom, Anjuna, Kydus, Camelphat, etc, etc that you will know (but not know) he had a hand in. This track started off with me revisiting my favourite basic channel records and getting my synth on for 10 minutes before Andy came in and added some warm bassline energy and a killer kick.

Next up is a track from one of my favourite tastemakers, Wally Lopez, this time collaborating with the Clarisse / Terminal M producer Hunzed. "Sa Caleta" is the archetypal Ibiza house record with funky rhodes licks, rolling vibes and pizzicato strings all sitting atop a bumping bottom end.

Following these tracks from two relative newcomers; Brigado Crew & Solarc. Brigado Crew & Kasall's "Fly To Us" (which has already picked up support from Solomun & John Digweed) is the kind of epic deep house that I love and its easy to see why two such respected DJs would fall for its joyous groove. Lastly Solarc's "Space Invaders" brings some Moroder-ish energy to a classic deep bassline houser, the kind of track that's perfect for getting people on the floor.

As well as these there are some tougher jams; there’s a killer new mix from Spencer K of his and Metodi Hristov’s “Basic Tricks”. Ismael Casimiro delivers the dark organ-fuelled jam “Toy Music” (complete with a remix from me) before Marco Lys & Jeff Eveline serve up the driving, tripped-out “Action Factory” and Dead Space & Mr. Lekka give us their bouncy dj-friendly “Be Positive”.
