'Changing Diapers by the River' is the suggestive title of Citizen:Kane's new EP. The creative process for this release happened at the same time as his becoming a father, granting him the chance to spend some extra time at home and dedicate himself more fully to this work. One of the main goals in this EP was to make a danceable and energetic album. Citizen:Kane delivers immediately in the EP's opening track, 'A Day at the Farm'. Notice the conceptual tone of the EP, evident in that each track's title relates to an auditory landscape. The second track, 'Walking on Thin Grass' is the EP's most acid track, showing Citizen:Kane's great versatility. The eponymous track is the most festive, incorporating psychedelic excursions. It is chock-full of well-defined rhythms, samples from his child's vocalizations, and unrecognizable guttural sounds. Lastly the ending track reaches its peak when the trumpet's persistent melody makes its entrance, segueing the animal sample that titles it 'The Cow Ran to the Beach with the Pig'.
