North American techno artist JAK last appeared on his SubSensory label in 2013. The decision to branch out from his home base led to a string of well received releases on labels like Trapez, Illegal Alien, Subspec and UKR, as well as an increasingly busy gig schedule.

Although JAK's recent work has moved in a darker direction, the three-track, Strength in Numbers EP offers a decidedly warm interpretation of four on the floor techno music. Sampled sounds, overdriven drum machines, guitar pedals and classic synth elements combine to create powerful and memorable grooves.
