In today’s over crowded milieu of house and techno music it’s understandable that anyone, be it a casual fan or a connoisseur of the realm, could become apathetic towards new music. The constant barrage of homogenized releases from artists trying to portray the “deep house” sound has made it a monotonous chore to discover new things. On the contrary, Den of Snakes has set out to wage war against this malaise and reinvigorate the dance floor.


The Silent Weapons for Quiet Wars EP from the Denver, CO based duo Den of Snakes, is a testament to the fact that it is still possible to produce cutting edge yet relevant music in this day and age. What stands out in the Den of Snakes production is the attention to detail in the minutia of the songs; the percussion, the lead, and the overarching thematic elements come together as a stand alone, refreshing piece.
