STAL 017 | 2010-06-22
Stalwart is bringing you fresh blood for its 17th release. El Prevost aka Lincoln Prevost, is a London-based producer who started is career in music as a sound engineer at London’s Matrix Studio. Becoming a big fan of the underground house scene through the years, he decided to start making music, looking for new directions in sound shaping and manipulation to produce strange new sonic elements and radically altered drum patterns. This is exactly what you are being treated with here. The Main mix is a Deep House vocal track with a slightly progressive edge and twisted groovy beats, making it a very unique track. The Club Mix version goes on a more Electro House direction still playable on various dancefloors and sure to create mayhem among clubbers. The beautiful sweet yet powerful and sensitive voice of Brooklyn-based Jannae Jordan (who collaborated with Quentin Harris, Tyrone Francis, Antonio Ocasio, The Stereo Mutants to name but a few) makes this an incredible piece of House Music. Various diverse remixes to choose from courtesy of Tech House rising star Wbeeza, Stalwart's very own DJ Rork taking the track to a Deep Techy brainstorming edge, while Carl Michael eases your mind with a deep piano-driven morning mix. Once again, a great package for you to choose from !

Review: Michael Fossati (www.spiritofhouse.com):
London based El Prevost (aka Lincoln Prevost) presents the celestial Choose you featuring sultry vocals by the one and only Jannae Jordan. The 'Main Mix' is deep and soulful yet groovy with phat keys accompanying the vocals. The 'Club Mix' is an electrofied affair perfect for the main room which is given a deep tech-soul makeover by DJ Rork. Wbeeza's minimal techy remix is deep and hypnotic, while Carl Michael's piano driven rather laidback interpretation is on a warm melodious tip.
