Local Talk release number 66 moves in deeper territories with a duo that needs no further introduction, Greg Dowling, Shane Johnson aka Fish Go Deep. These two fine gents has been releasing music for more than two decades. Both Greg & Shane played an integral part in the emergence of house music in Cork City between the years of 1988 and 2001 as their well renowned "Sweat" night at Sir Henrys helped to attract a host of talent, such as Kerri Chandler, Laurent Garnier, DJ Deep, Glenn Underground, Derrick May just to name a few. It’s a big, big honour to have them on aboard for this debut on Local Talk. First track, Off Script, takes us straight back to the days of Prescription. The driving kick and bassline, warm pads and a hypnotic melody line that crescendos throughout the track keeping you hooked from start to finish. On the flip, Northern Reach, follows on the same theme. It hits deep, the strings adds that extra bit of drama and again showing the duos skill in creating perfect atmospheric and timeless deep house. You wouldn’t be surprised to hear Dixon would drop this in a dj-set.
