In October last year we released Riki’s debut “Northern Rose EP” on Rejekt Music. The 4 track release featured 3 original tracks alongside a remix from “boy of the moment” Jamie Trench (Music Is Love / Roots For Bloom). The Ep was fairly well received and so we thought we’d do the painfully
obvious and pounce on this sliver of success and milk the fucker until it resembled something of a musical raisin!!

And so it is with mild enthusiasm that we offer up the first of 2 remix EP’s. This badboy features remixes from label head honcho and all round general good egg (fucking glory hog) iain Taylor and south London rude bwoy producer Jem Haynes (Colour Series / We Love) and for good measure we pinned Jamie Trench down and pulled pubes off his nut sack one by one until he agreed to provide us with a dub version of his stellar remix from the original release.
In brief . . . .

1. Iain Taylor’s “Midnight On The Floor” remix keeps the original dreamy pads while totally reworking the drums and bassline to give a more “jacked up” and “spaced out” mix dripping with sonic depth:

2. Jem Haynes gives a more “South London” style mix with tight drums, rolling rhythms and plenty chopped up vocal and filtered risers utilising the original chords filtered into the breakdowns:

3. Jamie Trench’s “No Horn” Dub provides a more stripped back version of his original remix and most noticeably he’s taken the loud horn noise out of it ;/
