Alongside the already established names like Robert Hood, Rolando, Mark Broom, Gary Martin and Samuel L Session making recent appearances on Detroit's Motech label, it's also continuing to cherry pick up and coming international talent. Following an EP by Russian artist Module One, we now head to the Italian act, Subradeon.
Subradeon is a music project created by two young artists, Salvatore Iannotta and Giuseppe Salone who hail from Caserta in the Campania region. In 2013 they moved to Berlin in search of new experiences and musical influences. Their tracks recall Detroit Techno, alongside new European sounds. In their own words: "Through Techno, we are what we are". And as DJs they follow the philosophy of 4 Decks and 2 Mixers to express themselves.
Their 'South Connection EP' encompasses four new tracks, opening with the sweeping 'Magdala', before the ready stomp of 'Hood'. 'South Connection' takes it deeper with scattered synths, before closer, 'Trouble Woman' delivers a witty vocal cut-up among the Techno beats.
