Groove Junkies return with another gem taken from the forthcoming “IN THE ZONE” full length artist album. A future dancefloor anthem in the making with a universal message of hope, tolerance and global harmony – “Unified (As One)” comes right on time for the Summer months ahead, and has a special connection to the upcoming FIFA World Cup which shares a similar vision towards bringing hope to those less privileged, promoting solidarity in the world and building a better future for everyone. This, the second single from the ‘re-designed’ album (whose official release date is June 21st, 2010) features an international collective of truly gifted singers & musicians and is a true collaborative effort. ABOUT THE PLAYERS: No stranger to the dance community, Groove Junkies founding member Evan Landes’ chart topping original & remix productions have gained support from a who’s who list of tastemaker DJ’s and earned critical acclaim from numerous worldwide industry publications. His writing, production, arrangement & engineering skills were put to the test on “Unified (As One)” which may arguably be his most challenging, yet most impressive work to date. MoreHouse veteran Indeya has brought her signature soul, passion & heat on some of MoHo’s biggest selling titles such as “Music’s Gotcha Jumpin’,” Gonna Get By,” and “Oh Lord” to name a few. Her amazing talent has also afforded her opportunities to grace the stage with the likes of Patti Labelle, Anita Baker, Wynton Marsalas, Joe Sample, George Duke, Herbie Hancock & David Foster, and she has performed at such notable events as The Monterrey Blues & Jazz Fest., The Playboy Jazz Fest., The Official Grammy After Party, & The Victoria Secret Fashion Show. As we’ve come to expect, she brings her ‘A’ game once again, this time sharing co-lead honors with African born artist extraordinaire Titus Fotso. Singer/Songwriter/Composer/Arranger & Choreographer, Titus Fotso is an Independent recording artist, and former lead of MYRAJJ 444 with the SOYOKO Music Company in Cameroon-Africa. He had collaborated with several Independent records Label in the U.S., including Trackers and Soleil Records and was the 1999 winner of the prestigious John Lennon songwriting contest in the World Music category with his song "Spirit Dancer". Amongst his many accolades, Titus toured and performed at the U.S.A. World Cup Soccer Championships in 1994 and opened for The Rolling Stones Voodoo Lounge Tour at the Pasadena Rose-bowl. Titus' early career in African traditional and contemporary dance has definitely been infused into his music, evidenced throughout his past and now on “Unified (As One). TRACK DESCRIPTIONS: GJs World Cup Tribute Mix, Reprise Mix, Instrumental Mix, Radio Edit, & Beats Tool: Afro soca beats, soul drenched pads & keys (Corey Allen), afro rhythm guitar (Elo), live bass (Les King) and killer horns (Chris Tedesco, Scott Whitfield) serve as the backdrop for Indeya & Titus’ lyrical and vocal prowess. The song offers a universal message that’s perfect for the Summer months ahead & beyond. The package also includes various GJs WCT mixes and a handy Beats Tool. S & E Motherland Dub, S & E Motherland Chant Mix:
MoHo head honchos Solara & Evan team up on the production side of the fence on this big room tribal affair that promises to rock a wide range of dancefloors. The Dub offers an eclectic assortment of African drums and rhythms, moody pads and horns along with select vocals and African chants. Things get stripped down even further on the Chant Mix to just the African Chants and the percussion leading to one big tribal affair that's primed to do some serious damage
