After taking a short break Coloursounds are back with a bang! With an emphasis on quality over quantity their last two releases consecutively stormed the download stores both riding the top 20 for over 15 weeks. This time they line up a funk driven single from men of the moment and one of the most exciting Disco Duo's to come out of the UK, TWOGOOD, featuring an all-star selection on the remix front with All Good Funk Alliance, Dr Packer & Tonbe getting in on the action. This ones a biggie folks!
Kicking off the release, the title track Got To Groove offers some of the bounciest funk around. With an original talkbox vocal, a killer hook and a bassline too heavy for the Richter scale, these terror twins really throw that bar up high for their first single.
Second in the ring is the remix by All Good Funk Alliance. Since completing their Rhythm and FX tour of the States earlier this year, The Fort Knox Recordings duo are back. This time, creating an incredibly progressive journey on this remix and visiting plenty more a funky town along the way. Expect a careful build up of big bass and sharp drops intertwined with that glorious guitar hook.
After chilling out for a cool 2 months in the Traxsource Top 20 with his recent Sensational Love EP, Dr Packer will see you now, with a deconstructed remix of Got To Groove. The stripped back vibe allows some of the original tracks hidden gems to shine through whilst also maintaining all the high funk levels of the original. The multitude of bass tones and that funky vocal get their moment here.
Tonbes effort is without a doubt the bassiest affair, and is essentially the Got To Groove: Basement Edition. This remix is a follow up to his October EP 'Give Me Funk', the last installment of an incredible year of releases under his own Fruity Flavor label. This track is rave ready with a stompa beat and clever percussive build up which gives us that unbelievable hook at just the right moments.
