Wrapping up a short autumn break, Love & Other returns with a powerful double bill from rising electronica outfit When 5AM, with their second contribution to the series. With new material seeing them dig deeper into the realms of musical storytelling, they present their latest EP ‘Red x Eyes Down’ - a narrative two tracker blurring the lines between lust and anguish. ‘Red’ sees When 5AM drawing on themes of passion, falling in love and the warmth of a new relationship, demonstrated by lush melodies, warm sub bass and graceful vocal sampling. The juxtaposing B-side ‘Eyes Down’ pulls on motifs contrasting to its counterpart playing on the premises of lost emotion, slow movement and doubt. Adding to the flow of the EP each respective track is accompanied by a video expressing the keynotes of the release in visual form.
