'Believe In Me' see's Roy flex his classically gifted piano skills, and lays down an infectious piano riff which is used as the main musical element on which the track is constructed. Adding to the deep rounded, slightly warped bass line, is the outstanding vocal talent of local lass Hilary Bennie, with a wonderfully powerful, seductive vocal performance.
Along with stimulating drum programming, composed entirety using vintage drum machines such as the 707/808 and 909, added synths are layered with the piano as the track builds quickly. Hilary's voice lures your senses, as the music rises to an epic finale, concluding an expertly crafted musical production.
K-Klass step up and keep with the vintage drum theme, stripping things back with Linndrum hits and tight TR727 percussion. Using the melodic structure of the original, the remix evolves with great use of the vocal and piano parts, resulting in a whole new, slightly darker vibe, with K-Klass's unmistakable stamp of top class production.
Jay Kay rounds out the package perfectly with a slightly more laid back mix, a solid bass line and drum groove combine with washing pads and strings, filtered piano and clever vocal cuts making for great dance floor material.
