Released in February 2015 with striking artwork from Ben Mautner, "Raindrops" produced a ray of sunlight from Ferdy and Daniel van der Zwaag as the twin-track EP lit up the northern hemisphere winter. Now making a triumphant return, Particles invites two new interpretations from high rollers of the underground dance arena.

German based producer, Konstantin Alt, has hit upon considerable success with his LoQuai alter ego. A man in possession of extensive production talents, the Kazakhstan born artist has continued to impress audiences with a unique combination of melodic interplay and rhythmic sensibility that few can surpass. Combining a variety of styles into a unique underground progressive sound, coupled with academic prowess at the SAE School in Frankfurt, 2005 saw Loquai's debut release for Ultimate House Records.

Since then, almost 150 production credits have found their way to Mistique Music backed by a supporting cast including Balkan Connection, Bonzai Progressive and OLD SQL. Particles too, has been a regular supporter of the LoQuai sound, centred upon 2014's "The Native Language" EP which saw remixes from Inkfish, Praveen Achary and Danny Lloyd. Having remixed both Navid Mehr and James Monro in 2015, LoQuai now returns to Particles for a third remix this year, fully showcasing his skill portfolio. An intricate percussive layer signals intent with pounding beat as pads wash with wave-like textures tantalisingly across the stereo image. A chunky bass groove adds further weight and vocals samples from the original combined with a delicious piano riff from LoQuai's production arsenal provide a touch of majesty to an impressive rework.

"Inspired by a broad range" of musical genres, Dutch star, Navar, is a man whose technical prowess in the studio is matched by a sparkling output of original and remix material. With the pulse of the underground scene beating inside him, the electricity that sparks from his fingertips has seen him hit the heights on numerous occasions. Forming alliances with such celebrated imprints as microCastle, Wasabi and fellow countryman Eelke Kleijn's Outside The Box, since a 2010 debut for Klopfgeist, Navar has never once looked back. Furthermore, a pair of original EPs for Guy J's Lost and Found cemented his position at the high table with music supported by Laurent Garnier, Henry Saiz and Marco Bailey to name but a select few.

A remix of Scotty.A for Proton Music has been in addition to the "Clean Sights" track on the "Particles Summer 2011" compilation and a remix of Ferdy's "Why" in 2014. Now returning to Particles for a second remix of his Dutch colleague, the Navar "Wiwang Wacipi" remix of "Raindrops" is a delightfully stripped back affair, full of sonic texture from manipulated ambient background recordings that drift in and out of the mix combined with a subtle, pitched melodic riff. Percussive interest is generated by a melange of hi-hat combinations that ricochet across the stereo soundstage with delay and reverb, creating an exacting rhythm section with sheen and lustre.

A pair of remixes from the LoQuai and Navar have ensured that there is much bright light behind Ferdy and Daniel van der Zwaag's "Raindrops".
