Classic welcomes another new addition to the family in the guise of Proper, a collaboration between the legendary Eric Kupper and rising star Kenny Summit.
Eric Kupper is a man that should need no introduction to anyone that has been part of house music during the last three decades. An artist in his own right, releasing records on Tribal in the 90’s as part of his seminal K-Scope project, Eric was also Frankie Knuckles right hand man, playing keys and co-producing on a number of classics. He has also played a major part in working with Roisin Murphy on various projects over the years. Meanwhile Kenny Summit has started to forge a path in house music with his prolific new take on the soulful New York sound. The combination of these two results in ‘Over Here’, a release that simultaneously takes us back to a moment in the 90’s, reminiscent of the seminal Strictly Rhythm output amongst others, yet retains a modern production that makes it sit suitably amongst its contemporary counterparts.
