Underground Collective presents THE FUTURE ….

DRUMZ DRUMZ DRUMZ AND MORE DRUMZ

Colombia, South America is usually only known for it’s negative media attention but it’s truly a diamond in the ruff. Colombia has a rich and vibrant culture which is also matched by the beautiful landscaping that surrounds it, creating the perfect setting for it’s lush musical flavor. It is filled with talented musicians just waiting to shine out into the world and onto the dance floors.
The musical roots found in Colombia are the perfect accompaniment for deep soulful house music, an incorporation of diverse influences stemming from Native Indigenous to African to Spanish and the Caribbean.

From this hidden gem emerges KALERO, a talented up and coming production artist born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. KALERO has infused his childhood roots of Afro – Colombian with some heavy percussion and a skillful arrangement of Afro vocals and deep old school 90’s house chords, the result is dance floor fire.

The EP is entitled The Makondo EP consisting of 6 tracks, the first cuts to be released off of his forthcoming album on Underground Collective Recordings.
The Makondo EP really brings something fresh and new to the house scene and the songs have been tested and given a stamp of approval on the dance floor.

Keep your eyes and ears open for more KALERO in the near future, you will undoubtedly be blown away when you hear for yourself the raw talent and devotion this Colombian native puts into his music.

Colombia is now officially on the map!!!!

THANKS TO
First of all I wanna thank GOD for blessing me with this profound sensibility for music. I thank the LORD for letting me appreciate music as a tool to touch the hearts and souls of people and not as tool to express yourself in a fashionable way.
Many thanks to my boy Marlon D, for giving me this beautiful opportunity to spread my sounds around the globe, and for trusting my music and my talent. Paninni time son!!!
I also gotta thank my boy Axel VonGreiff for being there always for me, encouraging me, pushing me and hyping me up to reach my goals and accomplish my objectives. 24 bit parceros kid … Paz!!!
To Camilo Silva (grammy award winner sound engineer) for putting his valuable talent into my music and making it sound the way it´s supposed to sound. You are the man kid.
To my lovely parents, my siblings and my 88 year old musical grandpa who got me into the folklore music I thank them for giving me their unconditional love and support always. I love you guys!!!
To my sweet ex wife Angelita for her evolved understanding of what my passion in life is and for her huge generosity and support. We will always be soul mates dear!! You made me a better man Thank you!!!
To my musician friends who made this dream of mine come true. Thank you for your impeccable talent and commitment to my project. Long life to the Makondo House sound fellas!!!
I also want to thank my frienemies and haters for they make me stronger each and every day and I can only wish them nothing but the best and bless them for giving me the chance to evolve and turn hate into love.
And finally I wanna thank you all for supporting, listening and buying my music. It was brought to you with Love, hard work, patience, commitment, devotion and a strong portion of faith. It is a humble tribute to the afro music of my country blended with the sound that brings nations and nations together … let there be House always!!! Peace
