Daily Struggles EP

The Organ Grinder

FINA White

For the latest slice of magic on the evermore impressive Fina White, The Organ Grinder, aka
Cayne Ramos, continues with a prolific run of releases which has planted his expansive productions straight in the bags of discerning club commanders like Move D, Brawther, and
Laurent Garnier.

Showcasing a broad, tasteful musical pallet, studied studio skills, and a sharp ear in the mix, The Daily Struggles EP is a fine arrangement of house and techno that will find itself at home on the uncompromising warehouse floors, the sun-drenched courtyards, and in the darker, seedier moments of the night, when only the strong remain, and the weak have long since departed.

Wasting no time, the Organ Grinder leads the line with Living in a Bottle, a classic house number on an MCDE tip, laced with infectious vocal samples, muffled Rhodesian keys and groovy, beddeddown bass lines, conducted by a tight back line of crisp, snappy, dusty drum parts.

On the flip side The Organ Grinder moves from the barbecue to the main room with some Berghain sized techno on B1. Taurus is for those who love those big, pulsating kicks, clattering hi hats and deep, penetrating bass notes that work so well in Spartan warehouses at 3am.

Moving the clock along to 7am and relocating to the beach on B2 with Too Digi The Organ Grinder brings the Daily Struggles EP to a head with perhaps the strongest track of the release - a proper cut of deep, tripped out Herbert-esque grooves and vintage keys revolving around an infectious, warped disco vocal. The sort of stuff jocks like Move D and Zip deploy to such devastating effect in the after hours.
