SoHaSo’s saga continues with a sound selection of singlets. Singular recordings from separate artists, bound together through Nuno Dos Santos’ spellbinding powers of creation and combination. The results are SOMEWHERE I and II: two compilations to be released digitally this summer, starting right here with part 1.
Turning towards their inner selves, their deepest thoughts, their most hidden feelings, it seems that every single artist that was invited for SOMEWHERE I isn’t just delivering a track, no, they’re sharing a piece of themselves, showing a part that’s rarely seen or heard. From the ever evolving grooves of Love Over Entropy to the almost indie-electronica vibe of Polynation. From Sigward’s Moonfaced Oracle, chanting towards the stars, to Nuno dos Santos’ own Wibaut127, made as a last tribute to that one legendary club in Amsterdam that once was but now is no more. This and much more stories can be found when listening between the lines of every track.
The SOMEWHERE series feels like a sound based confessional. Telling unheard stories, exposing unseen surfaces and unheard sounds. A compilation to cherish, and one of which there’s another part on it’s way. SOMEWHERE II will be released later this summer, with both parts being made available on CD in very limited quantities.
