Born in the East Rand (Johannesburg, South Africa), Tumelo a.k.a. Rephlex started playing in 2005 under the leadership of Dj Pcat and Sir Shimzo. From 2006 to late 2007 he played on Channel 0 ("The 411 show") and "Go Chart" now known as "Hit Refresh" on DSTV as guest dj.
He has shared the stage with artists like Rocco, Christos, Vinny, Ralf Gum, Just Mo and got a chance to open for Lars Behrenroth from Deeper Shades of House at The Place in Heidelburg. He has played around his hood and other places.
He's a member of Deep Concern since 2010. They started to produce their own songs and got to release 2 EP's on Digital Shops. One of their single was included on an online House compilation compiled by LM VIBES from Spain. Rephlex also co-hosted a radio show with DJ Winter on Ekfm 103.60 (Community Radio Station) every Saturday from 22:00 to 01:00 (The Sound Survey Show)
Since 2012 he runs alone The Phlex Lab where he produces his own music and also hosts The Phlex Lab Sessions podcast where he pushes Deep House/Deep Tech.
He has built his name and is now the most respected Deep/Deep Tech dj in his Home Town.
