Kgosi Chauke better known as the formidable King P from South Africa Atteridgeville Pretoria is determined and destined for success. Having started producing at the tender age of 14, still hard at work perfecting his skill and talent to enable himself to produce fresh sample free music which he holds full rights of originality. He introduced himself to Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) at the age of 14 and has along the years integrated to platforms such as FL Studio and Reason softwer as he feels Reason brings out the pure quality of a sound. He gathers inspiration from African Jazzy Elements & instruments such as those used by the legendary Fela Kuti, Baba Sipho Hot sticks Mabuse.... which drive the passion in him to produce good quality music. To the Channel O family he is no stranger as his claim to fame was winning the channel's“Think You Can Do Better” best DJ/Producer search in 2011, in which he came out tops, out of 6000 other participants. His single track Music Is Calling got approval from not only media peers but also recording labels, all of whom ache for a piece of him. His single track and video produced by Channel O were released under the “Think You Can Do Better” compilation double disc/DVD mixed by Dj Qness also featuring talents such as Liquideep, Black Motion, and Euphonik amongst others. Not only did he conquer Channel O, but King P's proving to be a force to be reckoned with. His skills have landed him as part of Top 36 finalist on the new SABC1-Masters of spin (2014) nationwide competition,again in 2015 he's proven he's good enough to earn a spot in the top 10 masters of spin Sabc 1 King P's music can be heard through out the country's radio stations including television shows such as Big brother Mzansi, Mzansi magic,SABC1, Vuzu and Channel 0 . Kgosi (king p) has been featured as celebrity guest Etv live lotto national draw,yotv sabc1,Vuzu Tv Hit Refresh, channel O and many other media plartforms .King p hasbeen working on many features and collaborations. His song was featured on DJ Tdeep's (metroFM) Fundamentals of House Vol.1 compilation, which was nominated in the best compilation CD category in the 2013 Metro FM music awards. This year 2015 King p has digitally released a fresh new single featuring vocalist Lady Zamar on a song “GO OUT” the new single witch he’s currently pushing music video has been recently play-listed on Channel O TV. King p has been recently working in studio with the likes of Zano (house vocalist) witch he’s project is due to be released soon. He has produced tracks for artists such as Bantu Soul and Dj Andre Ribeiros (Brazil).His talent has seen him share the decks with Abicah Soul, DJ Stax (Chicago -USA), Blackcoffe, MR Cee,DJ Nteeze, Andy's(Nu Deep Records) (France), Glen Lewis,Lulo Cafe and many other established Djs Though he has vast experience, King P is still deeply rooted in growing himself and his brand to much bigger n greater height!!!!
