With its opening offering, this fledgling label is marking its territory in the underground scene; with a stellar release courtesy of label boss Just Her, remixed by a heavyweight trio of Raxon, Pete Oak and Martín Vidal.
After a run of huge hits as the main engineer and songwriter for Him_Self_Her and fresh off the back of her hugely successful EP on Suara, Just Her delivers the original mix of Silence; a driving yet deep slice of groovy techno, with a haunting vocal and beautifully crafted pads and textures over a stripped down groove and bassline.
First up on remix duty is Dubai superstar Raxon, who has already notched up releases on world class labels such as Noir, Culprit and My Favorite Robot. He immediately steps up the dynamics, with rolling bass and arpeggiated synths laying the foundations for glitched vocals and a driving groove, twisting the original into a heavy cut of dance floor tech house.
The master of melody Pete Oak then takes the reins to deliver an outstanding rework, worthy of his place in the high ranks of current producers. Pete takes the track in a completely different direction, with complex layers of synth and bass blended beautifully with organic sounds and a deep ethnic groove.
The final remix comes courtesy of newcomer Martín Vidal, who cements his place firmly on the Constant Circles roster with a stunning remix, brimming with emotion filled chord progressions and intricate synth work.
And so begins the story of a label built on the foundations of an unquenchable thirst for the underground and a yearning for the sounds of the future, the past and all that emerges in between. Unceasing. Limitless. A constant circle.
