Part 3 in a series of 3:
The prequel to our “7 Years of rEJEKT” double mix compilation due for release in August 2015

SO! We finally got here! After much huffing and puffing and ado about generally not very much at all . .

This EP marks the final part of our pre compilation series. It’s basically a remix EP of part 2 in the series but what a set of remixes. It marks 5 original rEJEKT tracks and 5 stunning remixes over 3 EP’s many of which will feature on the upcoming double mix compilation:

This time round we have enlisted Mykel Haze (Hot Creations / Noir & Haze) & Marc Ashken (No Shoes / Leftroom) and we’ve also thrown in the Brett Johnson Dub remix for good measure. More quality than you can shake a (glow) stick at!

*rEJEKTS, rEJEKT Music or any of our official affiliates do not in any way condone the shaking of glow sticks in any public place ever

We like to let the music do the talking but for those of you who do your music journalism for the love and have limited time to listen to and write about our music, we’ve been really nice and done it for you on the next page:

A1: rEJEKTS – Strung Out In Reno (Mykel Haze Remix)
B1: rEJEKTS – Strung Out In Reno (Marc Ashken Remix)
B2: rEJEKTS – Strung Out In Reno (Brett Johnson Dub)

A1: rEJEKTS – Strung Out In Reno (Mykel Haze Remix) Mykel has his history steeped in Manchester’s rich Acid House heritage and that show’s through his productions. A onetime resident at the Legendary Sankeys Soap (until like most people he fell out with the infamous David Vincent), Mike Haynes took the opportunity to reinvent himself and Mike became Mykel and DJ became producer. His productions have impressed many a House Music luminary with his tracks having been snapped up by the likes of Jamie Jones for Hot Creations and Noir Music. Noir loved his music so much that they actually collaborated on several tracks together. With this remix what you get is an intelligent and credible interpretation of the original making use of the percussion and the strings while adding a more low down and throbbing bass along with some quirky hits and a tight drums to create a completely new groove.

B1: rEJEKTS – Strung Out In Reno (Marc Ashken Remix)Marc has been a friend of the label for some time now with his last remix for us causing a stir with the likes of Teifschwarz & Locodice and in our eye’s he’s one of the most exciting Techno producers to emerge from the UK in the last 10 years. He originally made his name with tracks on “Leftroom” and has since gone on to set up his own “No Shoes” imprint. True to form Marc takes us on an analogue journey through the realm of deep groovy Techno with some clever chops on the percussion and an overhaul on the layout of the strings and all with a clean wobbling bassline running under it accompanied by Marc’s trademark tripped out sonics. This is why we love Marc Ashken!

B2: And finally! A little something extra! Brett Johnson’s full 7 minute remix features on rjkt010 but what we love the most is when producers offer up 2 or more remixes. This is a shortened truly “Dubbed Out” version of his original remix with a reworked, twice as heavy bassline.

Thanks for listening people and as always we strongly urge you to “Please Enjoy Irresponsibly” (get yourself intoxicated and turn it up far too loud)

Much Love From Planet rEJEKT x
