The All Good Funk Alliance drop a new EP featuring 4 different styles of funk for their Super Hi-Fi label. "Make it Go-Go" featuring Big Tony of Trouble Funk has that classic DC Go-Go sound but updated for the 2000's. It's full of clanking percussion, horn blasts, and funky synths making for a dope mid-tempo jam.
"Do Work" featuring Mustafa Akbar, goes for that Motown sound but updated in that Mayer Hawthorne meets Mark Ronson way. This one is really catchy and you will find yourself singing along to it.
"Funk This Jam" featuring Soul Suit is classic AGFA. A funky mid-tempo number that feels like something that they would have put out on Funk Weapons back in the day. It's got call and response vocals and insane breakdowns. Classic AGFA!
Finally we have "On - Off Boogie". This nu-disco funk jam has got some squawky talk box, funky beats, and really intricate synth work. It leans more on AGFA's "boogie funk" style which rounds out this EP perfectly.
