Sequence Report

Tevo Howard Recordings
TTHR-DR025 | 2015-05-08
Release Note:

Artist: Sequence Report
Album: VANITY

Originally as an exploration further into electronics and electronic music, Sequence Report as an alias artist is Tevo Howard's coin through computerized voices arranged, time stretched, and tuned via today's music studio technologies. This album release titled, VANITY, is a follow up album to Sequence Report's first album, SECROMANCE, which headlined nearly 30 major websites and Magazines worldwide with it's pure essence of the Chicago style electro genre while gaining Sequence Report it's initial prestige in the field of electronic musics. VANITY, as a second album, is a bit less `happy' in tonal expression and addresses a more dissonant serious mood via usage of doubled tonal synths, modal scales in diminished chord structures, as well as straight forward beats meant to bang out large clubroom settings. All of the compositions presented here on this second album are in long form for DJs.

Also released with this second presentation from Sequence Report are the long versions of Tragedy, Beauty to Body Count, and Been Steppin' to your Love, which were favors in short form on the SECROMANCE album. Coupled with those are Ebony Lover, Your Love (Nobody Beats It), Remedy, and the title track Vanity. All tracks are intended expressions of sound from the imagination of Mr. Howard as depicted paintings and statements of musical language about the distraught of secular social identity that fundament the desensitized media today. More simply put, this album is a depiction of the vain look at fame and fortune that the media forces on the self-identity of the people of todays world. No doubt, VANITY as a second album is a statement to the world in great honor of the people of our community on Granville avenue in the Edgewater neighborhood of Chicago to stop the violence addressed both domestic and worldwide, as well as in our neck of the woods and in our very homes.
