Jay Haze gives Chicago label ROOTS digital relaunch One of TuningSpork ringleader Jay Haze’s favorite discoveries of 2009 was the Chicago-based ROOTS label.

Perhaps most notably, Mr. Haze included Dirty Bee’s “Work for Me” on his well received mix CD Fabric47, released this summer. Jay was surprised to find that the ROOTS team had no plans to make the 12” tracks available for download, so he licensed them for a digital reissue on TuningSpork Records. Currently scheduled for release are two EPs from Dirty Bee and one from Rockford Inc.
