As part of the Minus family, his first hit „Exclusive My Ass“ helped launch his name into the limelight, which came via Richie Hawtin’s New Horizons mix project in 2012.

2013 saw him release two of his biggest tracks to date, both from Minus on the EP Sonus.1. The two tracks „Saw“ and „Triangle“ topped the Beatport Minimal charts. His next EP „Itanimulli“ on Dubfire’s equally influential SCI+TEC label, soon followed that landmark release with similar praise.

„Famous in Amsterdam“ sees Joop deliver once again with his signature sound that has seen him frequent SCI+TEC as a regular. Rough and tough techno grime meets clean and crisp minimal perfection. The lead track provides a haunting synth mixed with sinister mind bending vocals. For those that loved „Triangle“, this track has the same eerie balance and doesn’t fail to impress.

Next up is „4 the b33f“ which again delivers on that „what the f**k is going on“ vibe, bringing serious beef to the floor! This pounding cut is not for the faint of heart, pushing the fine line between clean and crisp engineering and raw and distorted sound scapes.

To round out the EP, Egbert is on for remix duty. In true Egbert fashion, he lights it up with his signature groovy swinging touch that slightly dabbles in tech house flavor while still keeping that techno drive in sight.
