Dutch producer Chezz’s music draws inspiration from a diverse range of musical styles. His roots lie in hip hop, but since has expanded to boogie and house. His new EP illustrates his influences throughout the two tracks. Opening the EP ‘Vanilla Funk’ is a mid-tempo boogie track with the use of vibey key work giving it a deep driving classic house sound. ‘Blueberry Boogie’ nods to both the house and boogie influences, the funky percussion gives it a sound reminiscent of an old school Chicago house track with a beat designed for the underground dancefloor. We welcome back deep house veterans Shades of Gray who flip ‘Vanilla Funk’ into a proper deep house chugger.
