Where Is the Love

Frann Delice

Gooseneck Records
GNR058 | 2015-04-27
Next up on the Gooseneck Records is Frann Delice with a new EP that gets remixed by upcoming duo Lorenzo and Gillespie. Both cuts are fine contemporary house offerings and once again confirm Gooseneck to be right on the money.

About 16 years ago Frann Delice grew from his hip-hop roots and ever since has continued to flourish into what he is today. Bathing deeply in funk and soul he decided to leave France and unpack his vinyl collection in Palma de Mallorca. Now he has released on labels like Pressure and Anhura and here he offers some of his best work to date. His original cut is a bendy, bouncing house number with fine melody work and colourful synths. Sure to make girls and boys flood to the floor, it's a charming and feel good house offering that exudes quality.

Lorenzo and Gillespie's remix is a much more forceful track and one that makes more of the vocal samples, while layering in a stuff baseline and keeping the listener enthralled thanks to a chunky groove. The new production alias for Italian Thomas De Lorenzo and Alistair Gillespie, it's hopefully an indication of what's to come from this talented pair. Each already with their own well established DJ careers, they decided to join forces for production and have never looked back since.
