Green Thumb Vs. JV Farmer Eddie "Spettro" and ranch hand David "Dwavehed" first began mulching up audio together in 1997. With Eddie's dj background and Dave's musical theory/production background, the duo quickly realized what the funk was up! After many coffee and bud sessions, a cross pollination of funk, latin rhythms, tweaks, efx and all other kinds of silly audio work manifested itself into what it is now, adopting the name Green Thumb along the way. Add to the mix another Texas talent, scientist JV, whose meticulous work in the studio consistently results in cross genre hybrids. Spettro and JV met in the summer of 2002 and believed that the fusion of the organic Green Thumb sound and the techy JV sound would make for a dangerously interesting combination. The result was the Grand Theft Vinyl EP, written in response to the unfortunate robbery of Spettro's beloved vinyl.
