Friend Within has kicked off 2014 firing on all cylinders; a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in early January precedes the release of this EP, his Hypercolour debut.‘The Underground’ EP bundles together four sure fire winners; lead track ‘The More’ showcasing the slick and meaty production values that have won him many fans already (including Radio 1’s Annie Mac). Bass heavy grooves and slammin’ drums are all present and correct across the EP, taking just the right amount of garage vibes and blending together with choice vox samples and enough dancefloor creativity to ensure each cut works in the clubs.
