Karizma's Old's Kool Remix (6:47)
Following the critical and commercial success of Reel People's second album 'Seven Ways To Wonder', comes a set of top-grade remixes from 4 Hero, Dennis Ferrer, Karizma, Domu, Jon Cutler, Kyoto Jazz Massive and many more..

The compilation also features Reel People founder and head of Papa Records Oli Lazarus' own remix of 'Love Is Where You Are' in his 'The Realm' guise. The hand-picked remixes are by artists that Oli is a big fan of. "For me the remixes have always been really important to the Reel People project." Says Oli, "we've been very fortunate with the incredible producers that have put their mark on our songs, and this album definitely showcases that."

The remixes, from 4 Hero's deep bossa nova take on 'Outta Love' to Dennis Ferrer's bouncy wildpitch-style 'Out On Bail' mix of 'Alibi', are sympathetic to the originals, with a different take on a shared, core musical ethos. For this reason, the collection of mixes works as a coherent whole, aimed at the dancefloor, but also preserving vocals and keeping a soul music and song-based feel.

As well as the acclaimed second album 'Seven Ways To Wonder' and singles 'Alibi', 'Upside' and 'Amazing', Reel People recently enjoyed storming headline gigs at London's Jazz Café, the Birmingham Luxury Soul Weekender and their new club night, This Is UK SOUL (in partnership with Champion Sound), also in London. For the latter, Reel People were joined on stage by none other than British luminary Omar, plus a full string section in the shape of the Urban Soul Orchestra. DJs on the night included UK godfathers of soul/jazz/funk/dance music, Norman Jay and Kevin Beadle. Watch this space for the next unmissable night.

This digital release features remixes from Alix Alvarez, IG Culture and Reel People that won't be featured on the physical cd!!
