TalkTalk Records welcomes Montreal-based producer Jares with his debut release for the label, 'The Day Has Come.' The three-track EP delivers a bold and focused take on Indie Dance, driven by creative momentum and a desire to break familiar patterns.
Jares blends progressive, orchestral, and ethereal elements to shape a sound that is both emotionally charged and club-ready. His music has been released on labels such as Katermukke, UV, Beatfreak, Steyoyoke, and ICONYC, and supported by artists including John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Oostil, and Markus Schulz. His tracks have appeared at major events like Coachella and Burning Man, and he has performed at venues such as Stereo Afterhours alongside artists like Adriatique, ARTBAT, and Miss Monique.
The title track was started during a train ride back to Montreal following an inspiring event in Toronto. It captures the high energy of that experience through a groove-focused structure, with layered tension that builds continuously until its release. The track reflects a clear turning point in Jares' creative process, marking a conscious step away from past habits and toward a more instinctive and dynamic workflow. That sense of arrival and transformation gave the EP its name.
'The Day Has Come' also includes 'Ivory' and 'Burning Sun,' completing a release that highlights an artist in motion, both personally and musically.
