MAW Records is proud to present the 28th release in the MAW Lost Tapes series. Over 25 years ago, Masters At Work had the pleasure of collaborating with the incredibly talented and multi-Grammy Award-winning James Ingram.

During the studio sessions for the MAW/Ingram classic 'Lean On Me,' the team recorded a downtempo version of the track just for fun - one that was never officially released. On this version, James brilliantly reworked the melody live and played the B3 organ, delivering a funky, soulful vibe that now finally sees the light of day on MAW Lost Tapes 28.

James Ingram performing on the B3 was a rare moment, and few can say they've captured him on keys. The result is a classic Masters At Work session - filled with improvisation, raw energy, and sharp sampling from Kenny Dope, who chopped the B3 sounds of James into a funky hip-hop groove.

For all the hip-hop and R&B fans, this one's for you!
And for the house DJs, the release includes 'NYC Kickin' It With Masters At Work' - a full-on MAW Dub treatment, built to rock dancefloors worldwide.
