Otherwise Records presents Variously #3, the third installment in the compilation series launched in 2020. With eight new tracks, the release reaffirms the label's curatorial stance of bridging generations, styles, and geographies, bringing together artists with different trajectories through a broad perspective rooted in the dancefloor.

The lineup pairs core names from the label, such as Kolombo and Fran Bortolossi, with new collaborators from the Brazilian and European scenes. The compilation opens with 'Damn,' Kolombo's track that distills the Indie Dance vocabulary into a lean structure, marked percussion, and cleanly contoured synth lines. It's followed by 'Do Me a Favor,' a collaboration between Fran Bortolossi and Danish producer NILU, which builds floor tension from a measured melodic backbone and precise synth work without falling back on formula.

The compilation's midsection moves through 'Afterparty' by Rod Brito, driven by steady progression and shifting textures with subtle harmonic inflections; 'That's It' by Nattz, marked by a firm hypnotic pulse and consistent sub-bass; and 'Houz' by Azir & Mazzeo, which favors a percussive pattern with concise melodic inserts. On the Minimal/Deep Tech axis, 'Music Baby' by SODREE stands out for tight drums and vocal cuts, while 'Xperience' by Allan Fonseca layers ambience and cut-up grooves to keep tension at a measured level. The set closes with 'House Party' by Barone & Dunterz, an expansive build focused on a gradual rise in energy, leaning into Tech House with a straightforward dancefloor focus.

With Variously #3, Otherwise underscores its curatorial method and resumes the series with a diverse set of distinct signatures aligned with the label's editorial direction. The release serves as a vantage point on the intersections of Indie Dance, Minimal, Deep Tech, and Tech House in today's scene, widening the catalog's sonic scope while maintaining the production rigor that has defined it from the start.
