Argentine saxophonist Mauro Ostinelli, a long-standing figure in the Buenos Aires jazz scene, presents his debut album as a bandleader. Featuring five original compositions alongside two reimagined standards, the music emerges from years of study, respect, and passion for the jazz tradition, while weaving in the pursuit of a personal and contemporary sound. The artistry of his fellow musicians and friends who join the recording further enriches this vision.
La Llegada is also inspired by the birth of his first daughter, Sofia, and by the spirit that arises from neighborhood life, family, and friendship-spaces of care, connection, and belonging.
