Deeper than some of the more recent SoulFunktion releases, but still featuring the trademark SoulFunktion full vocal, this track showcases the instantly recognisable vocals of the up and coming Emma Black.
New to the house scene, but already making some serious waves by working with the likes of Matt Early, Kort and DeepTrax , Emmas unique vocal talents set over a moody deep house groove make this a real emotional journey for soulful and deep house dance floors.

Although Emma is relatively new to the industry she has come a long way in a short space of time. Described by many producers as having a smooth as silk, velvety voice, her writing skills have also impressed. The sassy and unique tone she brings to her music has set tongues wagging in both the UK and internationally, bringing her to the attention of some of the finest producers in modern house music. At present Emma has various on-going projects, with releases due over the coming months. Although Emma has always been passionate about house music her previous experiences as a successful cabaret artist, lead singer of a contemporary live band, stage artist as well as being featured on BBC1's fame academy serve as examples of her ability, particularly as a live performer. She is now performing her own material in some of London's best known venues, and has had rave reviews on how she really gets a dance floor rocking! Her influences are taken from some of the greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Aretha Franklin to more contemporary artists such as Amy Winehouse, Adele and Beth Ditto. House music wise Emma has grown up listening to her favourite divas, Shawnee Taylor, Barbara Tucker, India and Michelle Weeks to name but a few. In short, watch this space.............

SoulFunktion is a collaboration between long standing London based DJ Wally Walton and the legendary UK House producer Brian Keys Tharme. First having worked together in the 90s on releases for a variety of labels including Sweat, Narcotic and Catch Records (in which Brian was a partner with Gavin Face Mills of Copyright fame), the boys are now back together with their 25 years of experience at the top of the UK club scene to bring you their new productions. In the intervening years, the boys have worked on remixes for some of the biggest names in House Music including Tuff Jam, En Vogue, Kristine Blonde, Usher, Tina Moore, CeCe Peniston, Juliet Roberts and Craig David to name a few. Brian has also played keyboards in the studio for the likes of Dave Lee (aka Joey Negro), Bobby & Steve and Booker T. During the same period DJ Wally could be found playing at the best clubs and parties on the London scene, including being resident at the notorious Roller Express rave venue throughout the 90s and more recently The Pirate Club and Black & White, and presenting a show on Pressure Radio and guesting on Londons Passion FM.
