It's been a minute since we've had our head of A&R, Sam Dexter, on the label. 2022 was the last time we had some Dexter deepness to fill up our USB. However, just listening to this sumptuous slice of underground groove, we all agree that "Just A Dream" is worth the wait! Loopy, skippy drums lead the way before wondrously hypnotic keys and a slow-burning bottom end take the groove into overdrive. Next is Dexter's own vocal (pitched up, to sound female, like Breach did in "Jack") tells us it was "All just a dream, just a dream" before a delicious horn solo tops the lot. Like a 90s MAW transported to 2025, this is pure jazzy house brilliance.
