Here comes the first remix package from the sexually igniting, double break up album from Oslo’s finest post punk unit Sex Judas feat. Ricky. Released May 2024 on Snick Snack Music, “The Book of Dreams / After Sex, is now reinterpreted by legendary British dub & reggae producer Adrian Sherwood, Kenyan Ambient master KMRU, Norwegian Nu disco dons Olav Brekke Mathien & Sideshow Jøgge, and psychedelic disco producer Helene Rickhard.
Adrian Sherwood is a legendary British dub producer who's been running the game for decades. He made his mark in the '80s with his label On-U Sound, working with artists like African Head Charge, Killing Joke, The Fall and Mark Stewart, and became a key figure in the post-punk scene, blending dub rhythms with raw, experimental energy.
KMRU (Joseph Kamaru) is an ambient music producer and sound artist from Nairobi, Kenya. Known for blending field recordings, electronic textures, and minimalistic compositions, His works often explore themes of memory, identity, and environmental sound, drawing from his experiences in Nairobi and its surrounding landscapes. KMRU's debut album Peel (2020) received critical acclaim, cementing his position as a prominent figure in contemporary ambient music.
Olav Brekke Mathisen and Sideshow Jøgge is a Norwegian producer duo known for their singular blend of Nu Disco and Norwegian “Skrangle“ House. They were an important part of the Oslo scene in the late nineties and early 2000’s, a scene which also included talents like Todd Terje, Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas. Although they never got the same international attention, they released the fantastic album N*A*O*M*B on Disfunction in 2003. An album just re-released as a lavish triple pack on Snorkel Records, showcasing their signature experimental approach and fun-loving nature. Now they are slowly starting to move again and honored us with this remix!
