Pole Position Recordings proudly presents '50', a celebration 15 track compilation album marking our landmark 50th release. This very special release encapsulates what our label is all about - funky, feel good, quality music. It gives a definative flavour of classic past, present and future Pole Position Recordings tracks, focusing on our Nu Disco side, with a touch of deeper House for good measure.
We kick off with arguably our labels most recognisable track to date - Honom's “Bedcat”. Honom took some time out from producing after “Bedcat”, but now, especially for this release, he returns with a brand new track called “Vindruvan”, a late 70s cosmic disco influenced affair that is one of 4 tracks exclusive to this album.
Super talented Swedish Nu Disco duo DATO provide us with another exclusive. Their trademark classic Nu Disco vibes and blissful vocals merge to give us their brand new track “We Could Be Dancing”. The exclusives don't stop there. After making a big impression on our sister label Pole Jam Vinyls' début release, young Russian producer Deep Sound Express's “After Rain” and “Sunday Morning” make their digital bow.
The good times continue with Odahl's super funky remix of “Downtown”, Satin Jackets' piano laced remix of “Zashu”, the distinctive “Can't Stop Feelin” by Sixth Avenue Express all joined by fantastic tracks and remixes from Phunktastike, Midiman, Anturage, Viper Strike ft. Patrick Baker, Martin Virgin & Arcadis. This really does make for a very special 50th release - and one we are very proud of.
