Dispatch veterans NC-17 and Philth developed a bond during back-to-back sets at Outlook Festival and Dispatch Recordings parties across the UK. Sharing a nostalgia for the classic era of tech drum and bass, their spontaneous quick mixes and upfront selections gelled. This quickly developed into a creative partnership that aimed to replicate that same energy with new productions inspired by the golden-era tracks they still play in every set.
Combined with a love of cinema and gritty, raw funk-driven rollers, the pair quickly found themselves in a prolific creative flow that gave birth to the 'Last of a Dying Breed' EP series. The first volume of productions from this period forms a statement of intent, with each track delivering heavy impact with huge dancefloor appeal.
