Hailing from Manchester's vibrant music scene, iMarcus returns to Piston Recordings with the fantastic ‘Find The Way’, which follows his superb debut on the label back in May 2024 with ‘Something About You’. A dedicated DJ and producer, iMarcus enjoys blending genres like Deep House, House, Nu Disco, and Techno. Since 2017, his tracks have been signed to respected labels such as Antarctic Records, BBop Music, Phunk Traxx, and Maintain. With a focus on new releases and upcoming mix sessions, we’re delighted to welcome him back to the label.

‘Find The Way’ gets us moving with thick, warm kicks that resonate with a rich, full-bodied sound, creating a solid foundation. Crispy hi-hats and rhythmic percussions weave intricate patterns, adding layers of groove and texture. Filtered vocals drift in and out, creating a hypnotic vibe as a deep, subby bassline rumbles beneath, providing a low-end groove that is both smooth and powerful. High strings float delicately above, introducing a subtle, uplifting contrast to the deep bass and gritty stabs that punctuate the mix with sharp intensity. ‘Set My Soul On Fire’ rounds out the release, opening with a crisp and precise array of sharp percussions, where tight hi-hats and snappy snares instantly set a rhythmic, infectious groove. Punchy kick drums lock in with the percussion, giving the intro a driving energy while maintaining a clean, minimal vibe. Mesmerizing synth patterns soon emerge, weaving through the mix with a hypnotic quality, adding a sense of depth and atmosphere. Distant, ethereal vocals echo faintly in the background, creating an airy, dreamlike effect while a subtle, deep low-end bass adds warmth to the groove. A solid track for the late-night session.
