TOMMY BONES - SHOULDNA / DUB STYLE
Growing up in the suburbs of Connecticut one hour away from Manhattan Tommy was a musical kid. As early as age 5 he was playing a full drum kit and already picking out his own vinyl. Tommy was into all types of music from Rock to the early synth-pop years of MTV, but it was New York radio during the golden era of Hip Hop that made him take over his parent's basement to begin to practice DJing and dancing.
Shortly after at age 16, 5ft tall, skinny and malnourished from a fast food diet 'hence the nickname Bones' Tommy would drive his mother's Cadillac which he could barely see over the steering wheel into the city of Bridgeport to buy vinyl. 'I would be this young skinny kid that would hang out with street dancers and gang members'. Eventually, Tommy would pack his mom's car with friends to go dance and absorb all that was happening at legendary New York clubs like Sound Factory Bar, Tunnel, Limelight, and the Palladium. Fast forward, today Tommy Bones is a seasoned DJ, dancer, and house/tech house producer churning out dance floor anthems played by Seth Troxler, Louie Vega, Honey Dijon, Loco Dice, Skream, and Kerri Chandler to name a few.
Tommy Bones's debut on Vega Records brings us some scorchers, a two-track double AA side release one entitled 'Shouldna' and the other 'Dubstyle'. This is electronic, it's funky, its house, its tech house, a universal track amongst dance floors for DJs of all sorts. Prepare yourself for the sounds of Tommy Bones on Vega Records which are about to rock on countless dancefloors worldwide!!! Soon out at all digital and streaming outlets with a vinyl release too on the Vega Records 5 Pack Unreleased V.
