Swim Inc. presents a fresh take on "Space Cadillac," the title track from Beat Le Juice's debut EP, marking the first step towards a full remix release of the project. The original is a delightfully crafted down-tempo piece combining soulful vocals over low-slung beats, guitar vamps and funked-up bass. In his remix, Swim Inc. brings his style to the forefront while retaining the soulful elements of the original. The rework shifts towards a more electronic, bass-heavy soundscape, punctuated by horn stabs, thundering kicks and Reese basses. The result is a forward-thinking full-on midtempo banger.
Swim Inc: "I loved the old soul vibes of the vocals and wanted to lock into a more 'live' feel during the verses to contrast the heavy synth work in the drops, creating something melodic and emotive yet gritty. Inspired by the funky bass sounds of artists like Stickybuds, Slynk, and K+Lab, mixed with some DnB-style sound design I've been exploring, this remix is a mashup of many influences that I hope stands on its own."
