Having owned a pair of decks since the age of 16, Roccos early musical influences came from listening to Dimitri from Paris s radio show on Skyrock radio from 1987 to 1989. In 1994 Rocco started his first Dj residency at Space where he played warm up sets for greats such as DJ Deep, Laurent Garnier and Carl Cox, then in 1996 he developed his soulful style at the Ambassade club in Lyon, playing alongside Louie Vega, Lenny Fontana & Kenny Carpenter, later moving to Portugal holding residencies at various clubs including the Studio and Hot Rio before returning to France n 2003. In 2003 Rocco settled into his new London residency at Buzzin Fly run and owned by Ben Watt (EBTG). Rocco turned his hand to production and released his first track in 1999 with Sir James titled Baby which was featured on the Private Party compilation for Universal Records (France). In 2001, he teamed up with Friends AlexS, David, and Manoo and formed Rodamaal releasing their acclaimed single Love Island on Jazz-Up records in 2002. Rodamaal has notably been supported and followed by Ben Watt. One of their EPs, Musica Feliz feat. Nicinha was released on Buzzin Fly Records and also featured on their first compilation. Rocco has also made many remixes including: Automagic Feat. Aswan Do You Feel? (BuzzinFly); Alison Lorraine Something About You (Deeplay Music); Candy Apple Feat. Unlimited Love/ My N°1 (Shack Music), Whiteside Featuring Shunga Mention "Feel The Hope" BS Traxx and Sueno Soul feat Lelani Better Love taken from Sueno Soul Album (Stealth Records) including others. Rocco is currently enjoying success with Rodamaals Insomnia single feat Claudia Franco on Buzzin Fly and his new solo production "Something for the Floor" on Mr Mikes MAP Dance and has just completed a mix of Domenico Navarra Feat Antonio "Thousand Words" (Rocco Heart mix) forthcoming on Dj Rorks label. Talented and classically trained Canadian composer/producer/keyboard musician Martino Lozej produces mainly under his first name. He is also one half of the 83 West Production team (with Tyrone Solomon), one third of the Soul Intensions production team (with Karizma and T. Solomon), one half of the Eminence Production Force (with Suges), as well as being an active session musician and co-producer along side countless top notch producers in the house music industry such as Jon Cutler, Marlon D, Louis Benedetti, Halo, and more. UK label Shack Music was set up in 2004 by DJ/producer Soy Mustafa, now on their 7th release this fledgling label is gathering some serious momentum and great acclaim. Since its inception Shack has featured releases with stellar acts from the underground house world including Demarkus Lewis, Mr.V, Franck Roger, Light 4 Lines, Phil Asher, DJ Technic and a Shack Compilation due to drop entitled "Soul, Sweat, Energy" mixed by current US favourite Mr V. The global scope and style of Shack Music brings together music in all its forms, from the unmistakable swing of New Yorks Garage to the Funk fuelled House cuts in London, from the influence of San Francisco's deeper musical elements to the Sonic sound of mainland Europe and beyond.
