After having contributed with two songs to the "Brixia Sonora" project in 2023, Corrado Saija debuts on Rebirth with the extended EP "Teen".

Corrado began studying piano very early, then graduated in Electronic Music in Milan at the "G. Verdi" Conservatory, and now is a music teacher in schools and academies. Interested in the creative possibilities offered by technology, in particular in the use of electroacoustic and informatic instruments, Corrado elaborates his personal musical poetics in music composition. Corrado is also connected to multimedia arts, and he produced music for performances in artistic contexts sound installations, soundtracks for documentaries, radio and TV.

"Teen" contains four songs that synthesize his musical concept. Taking inspiration from the italian library music, one of the most fascinating periods of Italian music history of the late-'60s and '70s, Corrado's work is a blend of dark atmospheres alternating with psych jazz funk, balearic vibes and experimental offshoots.

The title track was composed on the beautiful island of Salina. It opens with a minimal 707 pattern followed by a simple but damn catchy electropop melody conveying a great sense of inner peace. It drags you into a visual journey evoking an exotic full moon at teen age with those very fragrant kisses stolen at night. Everything flows in a crescendo where you never reach the top and disappear, like those loves that now remain a faded memory imprinted on a Polaroid. 'Lisa' transmits nostalgic feelings with its lush cosmic pads and new wave synths. While 'Contradanza' and 'Ritmo Circolare' are darker experiments, a progression of cerebral synths, percussions and ambient conematic infusions.

A unique and richly immersive experience, primed for dancehall or late night satisfaction.
